A look into the past and future of Urban Poppy July 17 2023, 0 Comments

Welcome to our blog! If you've discovered us here, you might already know a bit about Urban Poppy. Today, we're thrilled to share the exciting journey of where we started and the path we're forging ahead.

For the past 14 years, Urban Poppy has been growing, starting with crafting exquisite wedding arrangements and blossoming into daily local flower deliveries and two storefronts (stay tuned for more on our newest location on Bull St!). We take immense joy in spreading happiness with the beauty of bouquets, arrangements, and thoughtfully curated gift collections.

LOOKING BACK

Our story begins in 2010 when Anissa Manzo founded Urban Poppy, with a vision to create breathtaking floral arrangements for Savannah weddings. From centerpieces to bridal bouquets, each creation was tailored beautifully and thoughtfully for the engaged couple.

By 2012, Urban Poppy flourished into the Abercorn Street location, blending Anissa's love for flowers and interior design. With a selection of gifts, flowers, and home decor, the store became a welcoming gathering place, offering a sanctuary from the city's hustle and bustle.

But that was just the beginning! In 2016, when the Plant Riverside District started development plans in downtown Savannah, Anissa was approached to create a storefront in the new area. Despite the challenges of 2020's Covid shutdown, Urban Poppy successfully opened its doors that same year, becoming a breath of fresh air on the River Street landscape.

TODAY

Now in 2023, we have seen Urban Poppy continues to bloom and grow, nurturing not only flowers but also an array of delightful gifts at both our  Bull Street and River Street locations. You'll discover an exquisite assortment of women's and baby clothing, candles, jewelry, and more. Our flower bar allows you to create custom bouquets, expressing your heart's desire.

Through every twist and turn, we remain steadfast in our commitment to spreading beauty and joy through the language of flowers and thoughtful gifts. We've weathered storms and celebrated sunlit days, each experience shaping us into who we are today.

Visit us at 3125 Bull Street, where we're open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. On Saturdays and Sundays, we rest to prepare for more moments of joy.

Thank you for being a part of our beautiful journey!
